My partner,
Chris, and myself rehomed Rojo from the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home. Rojo was
previously a stray so we knew nothing of his background.
Annette helped
with Rojo’s overall training. She has taught me how to keep Rojo’s attention,
even when other dogs are around. Annette has also helped teach Rojo a variety
of commands, all of which keep me entertained and Rojo stimulated.
I now feel much
more confident with Rojo. I know he will come back to me, although he still
wants to play with every dog he can.

Bobby and I first
met Annette in July 2006. For him it was love at first sight, for me it was a
huge sense of relief. Bobby is a rescue dog and I got him in June 2006. He has
the sweetest, gentlest, most loving nature, but he suffered from severe
separation anxiety.
I had enlisted Annette’s help in trying to overcome
this. I was hugely impressed by her calm and professional approach. A seven
page questionnaire to fill out before she even met us and then a thirteen page
report after the assessment? – this was serious! We’ve made significant
progress towards curing his separation anxiety, and I simply couldn’t have done
this without Annette’s good advice and help.
Bobby has also become a regular ‘lodger’ with Annette and Andrew and their two Border collies. I travel quite a lot in my job, and was very concerned that Bobby should be well looked after while I was away, particularly with his separation anxiety. The first time I left him I was very anxious and e-mailed after a couple of days to see how he was, but Annette was quick to reassure me that he was fine and happy.
Now he is very excited when she comes to pick him up, and trots off with her without a backwards glance. It makes it much easier for me when I know that Bobby is in a home environment, and I know I’ve found the perfect second home for him with Annette.

We could not have been happier with the result we received from the week our puppy Louis stayed with Annette. Not only was he obeying the commands we wanted him to learn, he had learned many others as well. The binder that we received on his training has been really helpful in training ourselves in how to communicate with him.
It was also extremely helpful when Annette came out to the house a few weeks later to check on our progress. It was great to re-train ourselves more importantly .... as Louis seemed to remember right away once we had the right way to communicate.

We simply can't thank you enough. You helped us make our very sweet dog into a very well adjusted and obedient dog.
Thanks again!

Sam is a lovely black
labrador who settled in well as an eight week old puppy. He soon
outgrew his 'chewing' spell - only a chewed crossbar of the kitchen
chair and a few nibbled trainers! - and enjoyed playing with our
old labrador, Ollie.
Ollie died when Sam was 18
months old and, on reflection, this may have been when his behaviour towards
other dogs changed. From being friendly and trustworthy off the
lead he became aggressive to some other dogs. Fortunately I noticed
Annette's advert and she soon put him right!
I think we were too old and
boring for Sam but Annette suggested games suitable for 'oldies' to play and
encouraged us to get Sam using his brain. We all enjoy playtime and
Sam is quieter at home and his behaviour has vastly improved when meeting other
dogs.
The week's training made a
great difference to Sam's behaviour and well-being. The follow-up
lesson was invaluable. I would highly recommend Annette to all - but
especially 'oldies'!
